Metro Cinema is an upscale, private cinema concept from the founder of Alamo Drafthouse Cinema.  In addition to movie screenings, the 20 private suites are also available for meetings, events, sports, karaoke and gaming.  This is the very first private cinema concept in the United States and will feature upscale, contemporary dining as well as a fantastic wine list and cocktail program.  We are looking for hospitality-centric lovers of great film, great food and great drinks to help us usher in the newest innovation in the cinema industry.

Metro Cinema is seeking Servers to join our team.

You’ll also support the pre-opening process, including helping to define how we operate, developing SOPs, and launching operational systems.

Experience in luxury hospitality, restaurant or entertainment venues are essential, as is a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences and a love of movies. Event experience is a major plus, as Metro Cinema specializes in hosting private screenings and events.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB 

• The ability to speak, see, hear, read, and write
• Mobility and manual dexterity
• Ability to lift at least 30 pounds on a semi-regular basis and perform other diverse physical tasks as needed
• The ability to comprehend and follow written and verbal direction
• The ability to bend, stoop, stand and perform extensive walking up to 8-10 hours a day
• Exposure to wet floors, noise, strobe light and temperature extremes

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Responsible for job duties as outlined
• Maintain a clean and organized suite
• Timely and courteous service to Metro Private Cinema guests in adherence to Metro policies and standards throughout venue

• Thorough knowledge of menu items, food, wines, beers, cocktails & soft beverages
• Thorough knowledge and proficiency of POS system
• Adherence to company, state, and local service & sanitation standards
• Adherence to posted schedule, clock in/out times, scheduling policies and procedures
• Attendance to company meetings and training seminars as required
• Adherence to company uniform and grooming policies
• Maintain Certifications 

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Greeting guests, taking food & beverage orders, expediting food orders, running food, and bussing suites 
• Ringing guest orders into POS system in a timely fashion
• Serving food and beverages to guests and checking back to ensure satisfaction
• Responsible for properly charging the guest and collecting payment for orders. All revenues collected, cash handling procedures and turning in the correct amount of cash and all credit card slips
• Maintaining a FRIENDLY, HELPFUL AND POSITIVE attitude
• Responsible for all side work and cleaning duties
• Assisting others (Bartenders, Servers, Service Captains, Server Assistants, Front Desk and Managers) in their tasks when necessary
• Carrying out all other duties as assigned by management 
• Accountable for the level of alcohol consumption of all guests
• Required to be knowledgeable on all legal aspects of alcohol service 
• Maintaining appropriate portion-control (following recipes)
• Cleans tables, chairs & equipment. Keeps floors in work or service area clean and free of debris
• Completes shift work, as assigned, timely and thoroughly in accordance with Metro Cinemas standards
