Boychik; a Mediterranean inspired restaurant that offers traditional cuisine with a modern interpretation in the Stanley Marketplace in Aurora is looking for that right person to join our team! Looking for an experienced individual that can keep up in a fast paced kitchen. Must be able to jump in and help the team as needed. Previous restaurant experience required.
Must be able to work PM Shifts. Full and Part-time positions open.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and gathering spices
- Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
- Follow recipes and presentation specifications
- Ensure food is stored and handled properly
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Monitor food stock and notify the supervisor of any shortages
Experience:
- Previous experience working in a kitchen or food industry required
- Familiarity with dietary department guidelines and regulations is a plus
- Knowledge of food handling and safety procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Culinary training or certification is a bonus
- Proficient knife skills
