Sip & Guzzle is seeking an experienced and passionate Line Cook to join our culinary team!
At Sip & Guzzle, we believe that successful line cooks are true hospitality professionals who play a critical role in shaping the guest experience and contributing to a collaborative, high-performance culture.
Our kitchen is led by Executive Chef Mike Bagale, formerly of the 3 Michelin-starred Alinea in Chicago, and our Chef de Cuisine Isaac Leidenfrost, of 2 Michelin-star Aska in Williamsburg. This is an exceptional opportunity to learn and grow alongside some of the most respected names in modern fine dining.
Role Overview
In this position, you will be responsible for prepping, cooking, and plating dishes to the highest standards of quality and consistency, while maintaining a clean, efficient, and organized work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Arrive on time, in uniform, and ready to work each scheduled shift

Set up assigned stations with appropriate mise en place before service

Prepare menu items to spec in coordination with the kitchen team and at the direction of the chefs

Assist other stations or areas as needed, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork

Follow allergy protocols and modify dishes as directed to ensure guest safety

Properly label, stock, and organize ingredients and prepared items

Maintain a neat, sanitary, and safe workstation throughout service

Collaborate with team members while adhering to all food safety and hygiene standards

Clean and sanitize all tools and equipment regularly
-
Maintain a positive and professional demeanor with both back and front-of-house teams
-
Fully break down your station at the end of service, report waste to the chefs, and ensure your area is cleaned and sanitized
Physical Requirements

Ability to stand for 8–10 hours, bend, lift, and move throughout the shift
-
Frequently lift up to 25 lbs; occasionally lift up to 40 lbs
-
Hearing, speaking, reaching, and visual acuity necessary for a fast-paced kitchen environment
Qualifications
-
2+ years of proven experience as a chef d'partie or in a comparable role
-
Strong ability to manage a station from prep through service

Highly detail-oriented with a commitment to consistency and cleanliness

Full-time availability, including nights and weekends
-
Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented with a strong work ethic

Compensation Details
Compensation: Hourly ($23.00 - $25.00)
