Bar / Lounge
56709 is the sister bar to 929 and a continuation of its mission—celebrating music, cocktails, and Asian pop culture. Rather than a departure, it’s an evolution: expanding the 929 universe with new themes and flavors while staying rooted in what made 929 special—community, culture, and creativity.
This new concept centers on Japanese pop music, a genre that has profoundly influenced Mando-pop and Canto-pop since the 1970s. We aim to spotlight a variety of Japanese music, with Japanese City Pop as the lead, along with 90s and 2000s J-pop, Japanese R&B, and the vibrant pop culture of the Showa and Heisei eras. Our cocktails, inspired by Japanese ingredients, are each named after a Japanese pop icon whose personality and music inspired their creation. 56709 continues 929’s mission: building community through cocktails and a shared love for Asian pop culture.
