Executive Kitchen Manager – Fine Dining Restaurant – Brooklyn, NY
We are a high-end, chef-driven kosher restaurant located in Brooklyn, seeking a strong, hands-on Executive Kitchen Manager to lead our kitchen operations with professionalism, creativity, and precision.
This is not a background role — we are looking for someone who lives and breathes the kitchen, who can lead by example, earn respect, and deliver consistent excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Full management of kitchen operations – including mastery of all recipes, techniques, and plating standards.
Staff leadership and delegation – enforce kitchen rules, train staff, communicate expectations, and maintain accountability.
Inventory and ordering – manage vendor relations, control costs, track inventory, and ensure product availability.
Recipe control and production accuracy – oversee consistency in portioning, prep, and execution across the board.
Staff meetings and development – run structured kitchen meetings, conduct performance reviews, and guide team growth.
Creative input – work with ownership and chefs on seasonal ideas, menu evolution, and presentation refinement.
Requirements:
Minimum 3 years of proven experience in a kitchen leadership role (Sous Chef or higher) within a fine dining or high-volume setting.
Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain structure in a high-pressure environment.
Natural authority — able to lead calmly but firmly, with full command over the team.
Solid understanding of cost control, prep timelines, and quality assurance.
No prior kosher experience necessary – we are happy to train the right candidate.
