General Manager

Slippery Slope and The Heavy Feather is looking for a General Manager. Slippery Slope is a high volume neighborhood dance bar with a second floor cocktail bar, The Heavy Feather.

The General Manager will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of all aspects of the business, including but not limited to; customer service, team management, booking and scheduling DJ’s, creating and executing special events, marketing through social media accounts, and overall hospitality. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in late night high volume cocktail bars and possess excellent leadership and organizational skills.

General Manager Responsibilities:
Reports to Director of Operations.
Lead & manage staff, including hiring, firing, onboarding, training and scheduling of bartenders, barbacks, security and DJ’s.
Work with the Director of Operations, Head of Security, and DJ’s daily.
Lead with a commitment to hospitality and customer service.
Oversee cost of beverage and labor costs.
Oversee labor and scheduling needs.
Maintain relationships with our vendors and representatives.
Uphold group policies and procedures.
Daily financial review.
Arranging equipment repairs and purchases, property maintenance and cleanliness.
Weekly manager meetings.

This position requires:
Two years of General Manager experience in a high volume bar environment.
Basset Certification, within 30 days of hire
Financial literacy to handle day-to-day banking
Night and Weekend availability, weekends and late nights are a requirement.

Schedule & Benefits:
The General Manager is scheduled 45 hours a week. This consists of admin time and managing service. Slippery Slope and The Heavy Feather are open Thursday-Saturday nights, and Holiday Sunday's.
