Job Details

We are seeking a Line Cook to join the dynamic team at our neighborhood restaurant, Margot.

Margot is a highly seasonal restaurant from Kip Green and Halley Chambers, located in Fort Greene, Brooklyn. We are open for dinner seven nights a week, offering a menu that is simple, abundant, and playful.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute dishes on the menu with confidence after being shown a couple of times
  • Maintain kitchen standards and food quality
  • Work across all stations: hot line, proteins, cold line, and pastry
  • Multitask effectively, minimize waste, and assess produce quality to manage costs
  • Maintain cleanliness and meet DOH sanitary standards
  • Contribute to a safe, positive, and growth-oriented work environment


Desired Experience:

  • 2+ years as a line cook in an upscale or high-volume kitchen
  • Excellent knife skills, plating precision, and strong attention to detail
  • NYC Food Handler’s Certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Able to lift and carry 30+ lbs
  • Able to stand and work on your feet for 10+ hours
  • Available to work nights, weekends, and holidays

Compensation Details

Compensation: Hourly ($18.00 - $24.00) plus tips
