Exodo Hospitality is a dynamic, chef-driven restaurant group based in Chicago’s River North neighborhood. Our growing portfolio includes standout concepts like Matilda (Mexican-Peruvian fusion), Kayao (Peruvian coastal kitchen), Ay-Ay-Ay (playful Mexican street fare), and Clandestino (underground cocktail social club).
We are now seeking experienced Assistant Managers to join our team for upcoming concept launches and growth projects across our portfolio. This is an exciting opportunity for motivated hospitality professionals to grow with a company that values creativity, culture, and service excellence.
As we continue to expand, our managers play a critical role in shaping the guest experience, supporting team development, and driving day-to-day operations at each of our unique venues.
About the Role
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced, high-energy environments and wants to be part of a team that celebrates bold flavors, thoughtful design, and innovative hospitality. Assistant Managers will report directly to the Director of Operations and will be instrumental in launching and managing future Exodo Hospitality projects.
Key Responsibilities πΉ Floor Management & Guest Experience

Lead daily service while ensuring a seamless and elevated guest experience.

Touch tables regularly, resolve service issues, and promote a hospitality-first culture.

Ensure sidework and service readiness are consistently maintained.
πΉ Opening & Closing Procedures

Conduct pre-service walkthroughs to check ambiance, cleanliness, and readiness.

Host pre-shift meetings with staff: review specials, VIPs, and daily goals.

Manage closing tasks: nightly reporting, recaps, and final inspections.
πΉ Team Development & Leadership

Assist in hiring, onboarding, and mentoring front-of-house team members.

Foster a respectful, supportive, and motivated workplace culture.

Encourage staff engagement with our unique culinary stories and service philosophy.
πΉ FOH Operations & Communication

Oversee and optimize guest flow using OpenTable.

Maintain open, clear communication with BOH and chefs to ensure alignment.

Participate in management meetings to contribute ideas and operational improvements.
Qualifications
β 2+ years of restaurant management experience in a high-volume setting
β Strong knowledge of wine, cocktails, and global cuisine
β Proficiency with OpenTable and Toast POS required
β Passion for hospitality and an eagerness to lead and learn
β Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
β Strong interpersonal and organizational skills

Compensation: Salary ($62,000.00 - $65,000.00)
