Job Summary:Runners & Bussers play a crucial role in supporting the Front-Of-House team by ensuring tables are cleared, cleaned, and reset promptly while also delivering food and drinks quickly and accurately to guests. This role requires efficiency, teamwork, and attention to detail to maintain a clean and organized dining environment and enhance the overall guest experience.
Job Responsibilities: Your role as Runner / Busser will include, but are not limited to, the following responsibilities:
1. Food Running & Guest Service
- Deliver food orders to guests quickly and accurately, ensuring proper presentation
- Assist with running drinks to guests when needed, and practical
- Communicate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow
- Answer basic guest questions about menu items and accommodate special requests when possible
- Assist in pre-bussing tables by removing empty plates and glassware
2. Bussing & Table Maintenance:
- Clear, clean, and reset tables efficiently for the next guests
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas, including floors and service stations
- Assist with refilling water bottles, polishing silverware & glassware, replenishing to-go boxes & Utensils as needed.
3. Collaboration with Management & Team:
- Hand to-go orders to delivery drivers as ready
- Provide accurate wait times to delivery drivers if food order is not ready yet
- Work closely with servers, bartenders, expo, and kitchen staff to provide seamless service
- Communicate guest feedback or issues to management as needed
- Assist in maintaining and organized Back-Of-House area for plates, glassware, and utensils
- When practical, assist Expo with packaging to-go orders using our “Bin System”
4. Compliance and Safety:
- Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
- Handle food and beverages with care to prevent spills or contamination
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, tables, and common areas
- Ensure work areas remain clean and free of hazards.
5. Certifications/Trainings:
- California Food Handler’s Certification
- Responsible Beverage Service Certification
- Sexual Harassment Prevention Training
