The pastry cook is responsible for production and plating of all items on the pastry station and following written and verbal instructions.
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
- Responsible for measurement & mixture of ingredients according to set recipes
- Visually inspecting and tasting all products to ensure quality
- Use of a variety of kitchen equipment and tools, including: mixers, ovens, burners, blenders, stoves, rulers, scoops, knives, soft serve machine
- Assist in compiling lists of ingredients to order and items needed for production
- Keeping all kitchen and prep areas organized and clean
- Filling out daily opening/closing checklists
- Plating all dessert items accurately
- Decorating and garnishing cakes and plated desserts
- Properly wrap, label, and date all items
- Assist Executive Pastry Chef in creation and development of new menu items
Minimal Essential Requirements:
- The ability to work as part of a team
- Maintaining personal hygiene and a professional demeanor
- Knowledge of food safety
- Time management and ability to adhere to deadlines
- Active listening and learning skills
- Reading comprehension skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally with or without assistance
- Ability to stand for 8-10hrs
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays
- Must be able to understand directions and communicate in English, Spanish speaking is a plus

Compensation Details
Compensation: Hourly ($20.00 - $25.00)
