Cecily is a neighborhood restaurant in Greenpoint, BK. We have an extensive wine list with a focus on classic French regions and off-the-beaten-path Spanish wine, and full spirits bar with a short, thoughtful house cocktail list. The culinary program complements the beverage with seasonally-driven new american dishes sourced from local farms and purveyors.
We are looking for an experienced bartender to join our small but mighty team! Wine knowledge is a plus, but not mandatory - we're here to teach you!
Cecily will offer commuter benefits and paid-time off (PTO) and long term employees will have the opportunity to benefit directly from the restaurant's success, via a profit sharing program.
Other essential functions for Bartenders include: Serve guests in a warm, accommodating, and professional manner
Efficiently bartend five or more craft cocktails plus classic cocktails
Maintain an organized, efficient bar
Be able to converse with guests about the menu and beverage list in a detailed and professional
manner
Be fully versed in technical and specific beverage knowledge, including craft beers, wine, and cocktails
Anticipate needs of the guest and exceed their expectations, while performing multiple duties at one
time
Assist with inventory of all products and merchandise
Restock the bar before and after service with correct items
Qualifications:High school diploma or GED preferred1+ years bartending experience preferredBasic math skillsWillingness to work weekends, evenings, and holidaysAbility to lift up to 25 poundsFamiliarity with restaurant POS software a plusAbility to thrive in an active, noisy, and demanding environmentThe base pay range for this position is $16.50 per hour plus tips.
