Job Title: AM Kitchen Manager

Position Overview:
The AM Kitchen Manager is responsible for overseeing all morning kitchen operations, ensuring quality food preparation, maintaining kitchen cleanliness and safety standards, and leading the morning kitchen team. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and a passion for delivering excellent food.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate all AM kitchen activities and food preparation
  • Ensure all food is prepared according to recipes, presentation standards, and quality guidelines.
  • Maintain food safety and sanitation standards in compliance with health regulations.
  • Manage kitchen staff scheduling, training, and performance during morning shifts.
  • Prepare for all Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and coordination with FOH and event teams.
  • Monitor and manage kitchen inventory, including ordering, receiving, rotating stock, and minimizing waste.
  • Conduct regular inventory counts(weekly) and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Ensure timely and consistent food service and resolve any kitchen-related issues during the shift.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and proper storage across all kitchen and prep areas.
  • Perform opening duties to ensure the kitchen is fully operational for daily service.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in a supervisory role in a professional kitchen, preferably with breakfast, brunch, or banquet service.
  • Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen best practices.
  • Proven leadership and staff development abilities.
  • Experience with BEO preparation and event service coordination.
  • Solid inventory management skills and familiarity with ordering systems.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Culinary degree or certification is a plus.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English.

Work Schedule:

  • Early morning availability is required (typically starting between 5:00 AM – 6:00 AM).
  • Must be available on weekends and holidays as needed.

Compensation Details

Compensation: Hourly ($21.00 - $24.00)
