Role:
Captains are responsible for ensuring a memorable experience, by providing exquisitely
curated food and beverage to our guests, through exceptional service. Our Captains are the
pillars of our team and are responsible for facilitating service, while acting as a leader on the
floor and providing our guests with warm and attentive hospitality.
Responsibilities:
* Consistently supports a culture of Humble, Honest, Heartfelt hospitality.
* Demonstrate expertise of the food and beverage menus with sound knowledge of all
ingredients and preparations.
* Serves all alcoholic beverages in accordance with all state regulations and alcohol awareness
training standards.
* Accurately enters all orders into the POS system.
* Follows proper cash handling procedures.
* Required to report any allergy or dietary restrictions from each guest to the kitchen.
* Accurately completes all end-of-shift financial procedures.
* Complies with Department of Health and company sanitation standards.
* Always follows our steps of service and manages the flow of service efficiently.
* Has a team player mentality, working cohesively and respectfully with other team members.
* Maintains the high standards of cleanliness and appearance throughout all service and non-
service areas both before, during and after service.
* Maintain a professional, neat, and well-groomed appearance adhering to company standards.
* May work extended hours irregular shifts, evening and/or weekend shifts, and holiday work
may be required.
* Ability to handle a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment.
* Exposure to hot kitchen elements or cleaning materials.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality.
* Attends and participates in daily pre-service meetings.
* Participates in any training sessions or departmental meetings.
* Works with efficiency and a sense of urgency while remaining composed.
Qualifications:
* 3+ years' experience in a server role in a high-volume establishment.
* English fluency – written and verbal; additional languages a plus.
* Ability to stand or walk for long periods of time.
* Ability to balance & carry multiple plates, trays, and lift objects up to 30 lbs.
* Prior knowledge of wine and spirits; ability to inform and guide guests through food and
beverage menus.
* Previous POS (Union, Aloha, Toast, etc.) experience.
* Must have positive energy while working.
