Job Details

Signature Steak is an approachable steak house with a neighborhood vibe. Owner Israel Idonije has teamed with the Fabio Viviani Hospitality Group to give guests fabulous food in the South Loop.

Duties

Prepare all menu items assigned to the sauté station in accordance with recipes, portion controls, and presentation standards.
Operate sauté pans, burners, and other kitchen equipment with precision and care.
Maintain a clean and organized station at all times.
Monitor food quality and freshness to ensure top-tier execution.
Communicate clearly with other line cooks, prep cooks, and chefs to coordinate service.
Adhere strictly to food safety and sanitation standards.
Assist with prep work, receiving deliveries, and kitchen cleaning as needed.
Follow all kitchen policies, procedures, and service standards.

Qualifications:

2+ years of experience as a sauté cook or in a similar line cook position.
Knowledge of various cooking techniques, especially sautéing.
Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
Familiarity with kitchen safety and sanitation standards (ServSafe certification a plus).
Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
