The Western Bar & Kitchen is bringing a rustic American menu with southwest flavors to our North Center neighborhood bar and comedy venue. We are seeking a Kitchen Manager,
Responsibilities will include:
- Food prep and cooking
- Inventory and ordering
- Controlling labor and food costs.
- Maintaining the high standard of food safety and cleanliness
- Manage and motivate kitchen staff in a high volume atmosphere.
Requirements:
Hold all necessary City of Chicago health certificate requirements (ServSafe manager, Allergen, and Healthy Chicago certificates)
Work weekends
Lift 50 pounds
1-2 years management experience
Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Word
Our ideal candidate will be:
Bilingual in English and Spanish
Experienced cooking southwest American cuisine
Proficient with Toast software
Proficient in scheduling software
