This position is essential to ensuring that the bar runs smoothly, consistently, and to the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
Role Overview
Bar Prep team members are responsible for preparing all ingredients and components used in Sip & Guzzle’s signature and classic cocktails —including batching, juicing, garnishes, syrups, and more—while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Core Expectations
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and promote a healthy and respectful work culture
- Communicate regularly with fellow team members and management, including shift logs and service updates
- Maintain a clean, organized, and properly labeled prep area, including bar stations, liquor storage, and shared kitchen areas
- Collaborate with the bar and kitchen teams to manage prep par levels and inventory accurately
- Uphold Department of Health standards and maintain knowledge of safety protocols to ensure an “A” grade on inspections
- Demonstrate a full understanding of work safety, emergency procedures, and sanitation protocols
Primary Responsibilities
- Arrive on time and follow all opening and closing prep procedures
- Review prep logs and daily task lists to prioritize and complete prep efficiently
- Receive, organize, and store bar-related deliveries (produce, ice, liquor, wine, beer, etc.) neatly and properly
- Ensure all cocktail mise en place is ready and stocked before service begins
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace throughout the shift
- Possess full recipe knowledge for all cocktail batches and prep items
- Stock and prep all bar-related items in accordance with service standards
- Maintain professional communication with all departments to support smooth bar operations
- Complete any additional service or operational tasks as determined by management
- Proactively assist teammates and anticipate other FOH needs
Physical Demands
- The physical demands for this position are seeing, hearing, speaking, reaching, frequently lifting up to 25 pounds, occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds, sitting, standing, for 6 to 10 hours, bending, and moving intermittently during working hours. These physical requirements may be accomplished with or without reasonable accommodations.
Qualifications

1+ years of proven experience in bar prep or in a comparable role
