Total Compensation:
- Base Salary: $80,000–$100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications
- Discretionary Bonus: Rewind offers a competitive cash and/or equity bonus package, uncapped and to be discussed based on business performance and candidate qualifications

Rewind is a premium hospitality venue featuring an elevated speakeasy cocktail lounge with private karaoke (KTV) rooms. Co-founded by the team behind concepts including The Office of Mr. Moto, TabeTomo, The Residence of Mr. Moto, and Tomokase, Rewind seeks a passionate and experienced Assistant General Manager (AGM) to lead daily operations, manage financial performance, support food and beverage innovation, and execute long-term growth strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Guest Experience
- Lead daily floor operations with a strong, visible presence - supporting service, coaching in real time, and elevating the guest experience
- Manage check-in flow, reservations, room/table logistics, and closing procedures
- Maintain brand standards in ambiance (lighting, cleanliness, scent, sound, etc.)
- Collaborate with the Beverage Director and Chef Partner in driving operational excellence across the bar and food programs
- Create SOPs and training materials to ensure quality and consistency
- Proactively gather guest feedback and implement enhancements accordingly
People & Talent Management
- Support recruiting, onboarding, and development of FOH team members; help build a culture rooted in hospitality and accountability
- Conduct performance reviews, coach staff, and foster a collaborative, high-accountability culture
- Manage scheduling and labor planning in coordination with department leads
Inventory & Controls
- Monitor daily sales, reconcile POS, and report on financial performance
- Manage end-to-end inventory processes (e.g., ordering, receiving, tracking, cost analysis) using platforms like MarginEdge or xtraChef
- Work with the Chef and Beverage Director to manage prime costs with regular tracking and forecasting
- Oversee purchasing systems and vendor relationships
- Conduct regular inventory audits and cost control initiatives
Venue Maintenance & Compliance
- Manage facility maintenance, repairs (HVAC, plumbing, etc.), and cleanliness standards
- Ensure full compliance with health, fire, insurance, and liquor regulations
Additional Skills & Qualities
- Embody and model a culture of hospitality and professionalism
- Strong time management, organizational, and strategic thinking skills
- Physically capable of standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 lbs
- Bilingual in English and Mandarin a plus
Requirements
- 2+ years of management experience in upscale restaurant and cocktail lounge environments
- Proven success overseeing operations with $1M+ in annual revenue
- Proficiency in POS, reservation, payroll, inventory, and office software systems
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required
- Must be available evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
