Upscale French Restaurant Group is seeking an experienced and passionate Floor Manager to oversee our daily meal services. Our ideal candidate has at least two years of industry experience, including supervisory roles, and is reliable and trustworthy. Must have a keen understanding of hospitality, service, and restaurant operations. Must have broad knowledge of food, wine, and spirits.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Work with and under the direction of the General Manager and Assistant General Manager to ensure that day-to-day operations of the restaurant run smoothly.
- Ensure guests receive exemplary service from all employees.
- Strives to improve service performance.
- Sets a positive example for guest relations.
- Communicates to Chef, General Manager, and Assistant General Manager any issues regarding food quality and service levels.
- Lead pre-shift meetings and ongoing food and beverage education
- Ensure that the restaurant complies with all health, safety, and licensing regulations
- Handle complaints, conflicts, questions, and suggestions from restaurant patrons and employees
- Oversee menu changes and update POS systems
- Assists in supervising daily shift operations.
- Oversee front door and maintain relationships with guests
Skills and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
- 5+ years of experience in a restaurant with at least 2 years in supervisory roles
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Able to stand for extended periods
- Hold a current Food Handler’s license or must obtain within a month of hire
Languages: French and Italian (highly preferred)
