June Wine Bar is a small restaurant that is looking for a line cook to grow and learn. This is a great opportunity to learn from a Chef that has cooked at many top restaurants and to learn techniques and work with the best quality produce.
About Us: The Oberon Group is dedicated to creating community-focused culinary experiences in New York City and the Catskills. Our portfolio includes acclaimed Brooklyn restaurants Rucola, June, Rhodora, and Anais.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Executive Chef
- Lead by example on the line during service, ensuring quality and consistency in every dish.
- Practice Department of Health preparedness.
- Help keep food waste down to a minimum.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a line cook or similar role, preferably in a fine dining establishment.
- Experience working all kitchen stations.
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to problem-solve and make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Available to work nights and weekends
- Off two consecutive days
Must have open availability weekends and holidays, great attitude and willingness to learn.
