Recognized by Food & Wine, Bon Appetit, the James Beard Foundation, and awarded 1 star by Michelin, The Dabney, is looking to bring energetic, enthusiastic and passionate hospitality professionals to its restaurant that serves seasonal and Mid-Atlantic inspired cuisine. The restaurant is located in the historic Blagden Alley in the Shaw neighborhood of Washington DC.
Requirements include:
- An enthusiasm for hospitality
- A positive attitude towards fellow employees and a love for working in a team environment
- A close attention to detail and ability to problem solve
- Flexible schedule. Must be able to work evenings.
Duties/Responsibilities include:
- Oversee opening side work and ensure host stand preparedness
- Welcome guests to the restaurant warmly
- Field special requests for nightly reservations
- Familiarity and experience with OpenTable Reservation system
- Additional administrative tasks focusing on guest coordination/reservation management
Our service style is guest focused and warm. We're looking for a host that embodies our vision of a dining experience that's refined but unpretentious. Detail oriented but welcoming.

The Dabney is closed for the following holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and The New Year. The restaurant is additionally always closed Sunday and Monday offering a nicely structured schedule for employees. Hourly compensation will be determined based on level of experience.
Compensation Details
Compensation: Hourly ($20.00 - $24.00)
