The Brand:
Beatbox is a new, modernized music experience launching in New York City this fall Imagine TopGolf for Karaoke.
Our karaoke-inspired game scores you based on how well you hit the notes or finish the lyrics to your favorite songs. We’ve also added auto-tune and voice modulation effects so it’s fun for the musically inclined and the totally tone deaf. The experience is designed to be played together, getting us off of our couches and together IRL.
The Role
Beatbox is looking for an experienced, charismatic, people-oriented General Manager to open our ~5000 sf flagship New York City location. The General Manager is responsible for the delivery of our premium hospitality experience and the leadership of our staff. This is an opportunity to get involved in the earliest stages of a hospitality brand’s launch and work directly with the leadership team - this role reports directly to the Co-CEOs. Key responsibilities include: the day-to-day management of the location, implementing and maintaining the corporate vision of the organization, directing and supervising the staff team, overseeing day-to-day finances, ensuring the professional execution of all aspects of the business, setting the highest possible standards, and deriving and implementing strategic initiatives to grow the business
Our perfect candidate has:
- Minimum 4 years experience in multi-faceted premium hospitality (full-service food and beverage/restaurants are strongly preferred) environments with high standards of performance
- Minimum 3 years experience as a General Manager, Multi-Unit General Manager, Assistant General Manager or Area Director , overseeing business models with multiple revenue streams
- Commitment to consistently and directly participating in venue floor operations to maintain strong, first hand, understanding of the business’ culture and efficacy of process and systems as the business evolves.
- New York hospitality experience
- Knowledge of Group Sales and Events
- Exceptional leadership skills
- Strong financial acumen
- Excellent communication at all levels
- A big-picture mentality with a hands-on approach, leads by example
- The ability to delegate to and empower staff to run their respective duties with a hard-working and positive attitude
- Experience in inventory management, systems creation, analysis, implementation, and efficacy
- The highest integrity as a leader and ability to positively drive the culture, and project a positive external image while demanding performance from management and associates
- Approachable with an amicable personality and sense of humor
- A healthy interest in social competition and passion for hospitality
- TIPS alcohol certification
- Food handling certification
- The capability to meet the physical and scheduling demands of the position, including walking, standing, or lifting heavy items for extended periods, and working nights, weekends, and holidays

Compensation Details
Compensation: Salary ($90,000.00 - $115,000.00)
