AP Pizza Shop is the Bethesda outpost of Chef Mike Friedman and the teams behind All-Purpose Pizzeria and The Red Hen. We are a high volume, fast casual pizza spot, with a robust take-out business. We are open 7 days a week for lunch and dinner and have full and part time work available.
We are seeking reliable and customer-focused individuals to join our team as a cashier/counter person. As a Cashier, you will play a crucial role in providing excellent service to our customers while efficiently handling transactions at the point of sale. This position requires attention to detail, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers with a friendly and welcoming demeanor.
- Accurately process sales transactions using cash registers or electronic systems.
- Handle cash, credit cards, and other forms of payment with precision.
- Keep the checkout area clean and organized.
- Be knowledgeable about our food and beverage offerings
- Answer guest questions relating to menu items
- Follow company policies and procedures related to cash handling and customer interactions.
- Adhere to security measures to prevent theft and fraudulent activities.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a cashier or customer service role is preferred.
- Strong numerical and communication skills.
- Ability to handle cash accurately and efficiently.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Ability to work flexible hours
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Lift and carry items weighing up to 20lbs.
- Manual dexterity to operate cash registers and handle merchandise.
