Currently, Concrete Hospitality Group is seeking a Sales & Operations Manager to join the team of their newest concept, The Crown.

Who You Are:
An energetic, passionate and ambitious Food and Beverage professional. We are seeking a Sales & Operations Manager that can work well with our incredible FOH staff, drive event sales, and initiate guest engagement. The position is hosted at our 50 Bowery Location (The Crown). The Sales & Operations Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all guests have an engaging, dynamic experience. The Sales & Operations Manager  will drive the Company’s vision by utilizing the culture guide and leadership tools available. 

The position has a starting base salary of $70,000-$75,000 + Commissions. 

What You'll Do:

  • Responsible for daily operation of the Sales department.
  •  Direct sales activities of the hotel to achieve budgeted goals.
  •  Establishes and directs the development of annual sales goals; ensures they are fully understood and implemented in the hotel.
  •  Performs all accountabilities in a timely and efficient manner, following established policy and projecting a favorable image of the hotel to achieve objectives, public recognition and acceptance.
  •  Reviews market analysis and determine client needs, occupancy potential, rates desired, etc.
  •  Direct Event Management team in the execution of negotiated group sales agreements and affiliate business solicitation 
  •  Manage high profile and/or overflow group business, as appropriate 
  •  Direct and administer all Group and Local Catering Sales and Event
  • Management operations including, but not limited to, revenue maximization initiatives, market development, solicitation plans, meeting space and room block management, negotiation of supplier services, budgeting and forecasting, systems   management, department  management and meeting participation and facilitation 
  •  Serve as primary liaison with Group Sales team and Events to ensure quality of booking criteria and contract integrity 
  •  Foster relationships and communication between Event Managers, Catering Sales Managers and clients 
  •  Lead, monitor and develop team member performance to include, but not limited to, providing professional development, providing supervision, conducting counseling and performance evaluations, providing professional development and delivering recognition and reward 
  • Available to cross train as directed
  • All other responsibilities assigned by management
  • Drive local business; develop Neighborhood Outreach Program by mapping out and tracking targeted companies/businesses, utilizing Incentive cards, etc. Track event team members outreach efforts.
  • Manage all incoming inquiries, calls and voicemails. Ensure clients receive responses in a timely manner. 
  • Liaise with clients, perform walk throughs and site visits.
  • Draft proposals and issue price quotes. 
  • Produce and update Event Menus in coordination with department heads. Ensure all events/reservations are accurate for host and management team; one sheets and turnover details. Send weekly events and venue summaries to proper team members.
  • Complete monthly recap of bookings and revenue generation.
  • Grow existing contacts. Track client contact information and build F&B database. Function as POC for CRM and Reservations systems; set up all CRM profiles and webmail tracking. Initiate post-event follow up e-mails with all clients.

Misc. Duties

  • Attend any meetings or training sessions or courses as required.
  • Assist fellow employees to perform similar or related jobs as and when necessary.
  • Ensure guest satisfaction by performing such duties as attending to their requests and inquiries courteously and efficiently, and accepting changes or additions in work hours, which are necessary for the maintenance of uninterrupted service to hotel guests and patrons.
  • Continuously seek out opportunities to learn and improve the knowledge of the job.
  • Undertake any reasonable request made by a member of management.

Health and Safety

  • Ensure that all potential and real hazards are reported immediately and rectified.
  • To be fully conversant with all fire and emergency procedures.
  • Ensure that all staff within the division works in a manner, which is safe and unlikely to give risk of harm or injury to themselves or others.
  • Stimulate and encourage a general awareness of health and safety in relation to all tasks and activities undertaken in the division. 
  • Ensure that all members of the division maintain the highest standards of personal hygiene.

To be fully conversant with:

  • Hotel fire procedures.
  • Hotel and company security procedures.
  • Hotel health and safety policy and procedures.
  • Hotel facilities and attractions.
  • Hotel standards of operation and department procedures.
  • Current licensing regulations
  • Short and long-term marketing promotions.

Other Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years Management Experience in Sales & Operations.
  • Computer proficiency and knowledge of POS required
  • Skilled knowledge of food, wine and spirits
  • Must possess a flexible and varied schedule to accommodate business demands, including weekends and Holidays
  • Outstanding leadership capability
  • Exceptional guest service orientation
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel
  • Proficient in Google Workspace
  • Personal appearance and professional dress required

Compensation Details

Compensation: Salary ($70,000.00 - $75,000.00)
