Bagel Daddy, a new bagel purveyor in San Francisco is looking for a General Manager that will be responsible for launching the bagel shop in the design district.
What started as a wild dream and a burning man camp is becoming a full fledged business – and we are looking for a GM who will ensure an amazing experience for every bagel customer. That ranges from hiring and managing staff, running a kitchen capable of making 5500 bagels a day, designing the customer experience, and launching and growing the business from the ground up. We are building a top of the line bagel kitchen in the heart of the design district, and aim to expand across the bay area.
General Manager responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Opening Bagel Daddy - you are our first hire, and would build and run all day to day operations for the cafe through the grand opening and beyond
- Hiring and training all employees for front and back of house
- Obsessively owning the customer experience at Bagel Daddy from end to end (whether its an uber eats delivery, a wholesale order, or a cafe walk-in)
- Ensuring food safety standards and compliance
- Working closely with the bagel daddy owner to bring a shared vision of the bagel brand to life
An ideal candidate has:
- extensive prior experience as a restaurant or cafe GM, particularly at a new establishment
- Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills
- Prior experience with grocery distribution a plus
- A love of early mornings
- A great sense of humor
