Grand Brasserie is the 400-seat French heartbeat of Grand Central Terminal, where 120-year-old architectural grandeur meets the energy of a modern brasserie. We’re seeking a seasoned events professional to channel that energy into $3.5M in corporate event revenue during Year 1.
About the Role:
As the Director of Private Events & Partnerships, you’ll be the driving force behind our private dining program—strategically building relationships and curating event experiences that resonate with NYC’s corporate clientele.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and convert a pipeline of legal, finance, accounting, and CRE clients within a 0.5‑mile radius
- Respond to digital RFPs (Cvent, Kapow, Bizly) within a 2-hour SLA, maintaining a 20%+ conversion rate
- Design fixed‑price breakfast, lunch, and reception packages that address planners’ needs
- Produce monthly FAM tours and quarterly themed industry nights
- Report weekly KPIs (lead velocity, site-inspection-to-contract ratio) directly to ownership
Who You Are:
- 7–10 years of private event sales experience in high-volume NYC venues
- A strong book of Fortune 500 corporate contacts and proven results (150+ events or $4M+ in closed annual revenue)
- Actively engaged in networks like MPI-GNY, LMA-Northeast, Bisnow, and CREW-NY
- CMP or CSEP certification preferred
- Power user of SevenRooms or Tripleseat, plus Salesforce or HubSpot
Compensation & Benefits:
- Base salary: $95K–$120K + uncapped commission)
