Ballyhoo Hospitality Group is seeking an energetic, hospitality focused server to join our thirteenth restaurant and one of many in Glenview.

Jackman’s menu focuses on the cooking traditions and practices associated with the United Kingdom. Encompassing global influences due to England’s strong trading history and its’ historical conquests.

Server Job Summary:
As the primary point of contact for guest interactions in the dining room, the Server
is responsible for selling & serving food & beverages using their knowledge, hospitality and
service skills. Must be pleasant, conscientious and professional with excellent knowledge of
food & alcoholic beverage selections. Must be comfortable suggesting food & wine pairings,
craft beers, and aperitifs and familiar with local beverage products. Must be able to operate
effectively as part of a team, communicate clearly, ensure smooth service operations and
provide consistent, pleasant, quality service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Greet and seat guests promptly and professionally.
• Guide guests through their dining experience with knowledge and hospitality focus
• Take and submit food and beverage orders through a point of sale system.
• Communicate dietary restrictions, allergies, and special requests to the kitchen and bar.
• Deliver food and beverages accurately and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with service staff to clear and reset tables efficiently.
• Prepare checks, process payments, and ensure timely return of change or charge slips.
• Assist with cleaning and maintaining the dining area and other restaurant tasks as needed.
• Participate in Pre-Shift meetings and stay informed about menu items.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 3 years of previous restaurant experience required; fine-dining experience preferred.
• Maintain a BASSET and ServSafe Food Handlers Certification.
• Extensive knowledge of food and beverage preparation and handling.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and time management skills.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient with Point of Sale systems.
• Must be able to work Weekends, Evenings and Holidays
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds and carry trays of food weighing up to 25 pounds.
