Job Details

Job Title: Baker

Location: 619 Saint John's Pl, 11238, Crown Heights

Position Type: Full-Time

Hours: 7 am - 3 pm (5 days a week / Wednesday - Sunday) (subject to change) (*weekend availability is a must)

Anticipated Start Date: Immediately

Pay: $20 - $23  + tips ($200 avaragely)

Lisbonata is a growing artisanal bakery in Brooklyn, specializing in handcrafted Pastéis de Nata — traditional Portuguese custard tarts made with care and precision. We're currently seeking a dedicated and experienced baker to join our small but passionate team.

This role is primarily focused on baking and production, but also includes shaping, prepping, and supporting various day-to-day kitchen tasks. Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 year of experience as a baker.

  • Comfortable using deck ovens and convection ovens for daily baking tasks.

  • Lamination knowledge is a plus

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to consistent product quality.

  • Ability to work efficiently in a shared kitchen with a small team.

  • Great communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude.

  • Must be able to work the full weekly schedule listed above.

  • Must be 18+ and authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in shaping, filling, and baking of our signature Pastéis de Nata.

  • Operate and maintain deck and convection ovens to ensure consistent results.

  • Support with dough prep, custard preparation, and ingredient handling.

  • Help with laminated dough production as needed.

  • Clean and maintain workstations, equipment, and kitchen tools.

  • Follow all food safety and sanitation standards.

  • Work closely with the head baker and other team members to ensure smooth production flow.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand for extended periods (8 hours).

  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
