About the Role
We are seeking a poised Maître d’ who embodies the sophistication and warmth that define the Maison. In this role you will curate an atmosphere of effortless elegance, ensuring each guest’s experience is seamless, personal, and memorable.
You will manage our reservations with precision and foresight, anticipating guest preferences, honoring special requests, and maintaining continuity across visits. By cultivating genuine relationships, attentively addressing feedback, and recognizing returning clientele, you will play a key role in creating a deeply personalized and elevated dining journey.
About Le Café Louis Vuitton
A one-of-a-kind gastronomic destination for food and culture. Located on the fourth floor of the flagship Louis Vuitton store at 6 East 57th Street, the café is conceived to be a lively destination for visitors to feel immersed in an atmosphere of cultural inspiration while indulging in a creative menu curated by local talents Christophe Bellanca and Mary George, and guided by French chefs Arnaud Donckele and Maxime Frederic.
Exuding French design, the dining room is accented with warm neutral tones and animated by wall-to-wall books, a showcase of 650 titles, including collaborators such as Stephen Sprouse and Jeff Koons, as well as international creators like Rem Koolhaas. Open during store hours, the café is the perfect place for afternoon tea post-shopping, a casual lunch with friends, or a dinner date with that special someone. Providing a multitude of experiences, guests can enjoy a coffee and decadent dessert in the reading alcove, sip on an exquisite cocktail at the bar, or indulge in an unforgettable meal in the main dining room.

Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 years in a lead host/hostess role or as a Maître d'
- A genuine, personable nature with the ability to effortlessly engage in meaningful conversations with guests and gracefully manage challenging situations
- Strong decision-making skills with the ability to handle situations with grace and effectiveness
- Clear and articulate communication skills, adept at providing information and addressing inquiries while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor
- Proficiency in English, including speaking, reading, and comprehension.
- Reservation Systems: Experience with OpenTable and/or Resy preferred
Compensation Details
Compensation: Hourly ($25.00 - $32.00)
