As we continue to redefine the fine dining experience by blending different worlds, we are seeking a Captain with a Junior Sommelier profile to enhance our service team.

Guests enter through a secret door in a curated art gallery, discovering a 16-seat chef's counter and intimate table seating. Our Head Sommelier, Quentin Vauléon, Best Young Sommelier in France (2017) and 3rd Place in Best Sommelier of France (2024), leads a dynamic wine program featuring both iconic and avant-garde producers.
🍽 Role Overview: Captain / Junior SommelierThis hybrid role is ideal for an experienced Captain with a passion for wine. You will act as a guest-facing service lead, supporting wine operations and learning directly from one of New York City's most talented sommeliers.

Deliver warm, refined, and confident guest service.

Present and discuss the tasting menu and wine pairings with enthusiasm and clarity.

Recommend wine pairings tailored to guest preferences and menu pairings.

Ensure proper wine service, including glassware, temperature, decanting, and presentation.

Maintain a polished and welcoming presence throughout service.

Assist with service setup, inventory, cellar organization, and beverage program.

Occasionally support FOH/BOH communications, reservations, or training materials.

A current or former fine dining Captain with a passion for wine (certifications a plus but not required).

Enthusiastic, eloquent, and natural with guest interaction.

Able to discuss wine styles, regions, varietals, and wine basics with confidence.

Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and work across two floors.

Curious and eager to learn in a dynamic, artistic, and high-performance environment.

Fluent in English. Additional languages are a plus.

Familiar with Food Safety protocols (certificate preferred).

Mentorship by our Head Sommelier.

Fixed schedule: Tuesday–Saturday dinner service. Closed Sundays & Mondays.

Compensation Details
Compensation: Hourly ($16.50) plus tips
Estimated Weekly Tips: $2,000
