Job Details

West Village Italian-American gem San Sabino, sister restaurant to Don Angie, is seeking an experienced Maitre D to join the team!

Position Requirements:

At least 2 years relevant experience in a reputable restaurant.
Excellent communication skills are required; ability to listen and make a connection.
Professional and polished appearance required. Warmly greet every guest of the restaurant and provide a lasting first impression
Leads reservations system management during service, works to provide a proper flow of service with strategic management of reservation and walk in seating and maximizes the book wherever possible
Communicate pertinent reservation and guest notes to applicable team members (servers, kitchen team, manager etc.)
Manages a dynamic waitlist by establishing accurate wait times for walk-ins
Possesses proficient knowledge and understanding of all food and beverage menus
Ensure all VIPs, Investors and other important guests are receiving appropriate accommodations and excellent service
Ability to gracefully carry multiple beverages on a tray
Perform other duties as directed by management
