Invictus Bakery is looking for a Full-Time General Manager.
We are a 501(c)(3) organization, providing job training and employment for people on the autism spectrum and other disabilities.

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
Working alongside our Director of Strategic Development, the General Manager will be charged to develop and implement processes aligned with the organization’s vision, within the following scope of work:
Employee & Educational Leadership Responsibilities:
- Manage onboarding and offboarding process from recruiting to layoffs
- Monitor and nurture a positive working environment, systems, and procedures
- Monitor and track hourly employee timesheets and contractor invoices and submit for payroll, escalating any notable discrepancies for review and approval
- Conduct regular training, personal development, and assessments with employees & volunteers
- Ensure consistency and continuity across all classes
- Improve efficiencies for the bakery operations and help staff improve efficiencies on a regular basis
- Oversee staff scheduling to ensure adequate coverage for all classes and collaborate with the Director of Finance where appropriate to handle staff related benefits (PTO, sick days, vacation days)
Earned Revenue Job Responsibilities:
- Launch and oversee a 4-hour class held once per week or a 2-hour class held twice a week
- Engage with customers, respond promptly to inquiries about orders, ingredients, menus, scheduling, special requests, etc.
- Plan and coordinate deliveries, including booking delivery person
- Oversee order fulfillment to ensure quality
- Maintain and track order pipeline and plan schedule to ensure timely order fulfillment
- Build out additional sources of revenue (e.g. coordinating, structuring and staffing 1-1s, additional classes, events, or other strategies)
- Create and implement pricing models to ensure reasonable profitability (for events, 1-1s, classes, products)
Other Responsibilities:
Additionally, the General Manager will be responsible for:
- Attending planning meetings with the Core Team and facilitating related tasks;
- Attending quarterly Board meetings to present when requested;
- Managing & tracking inventory of supplies & ingredients;
- Scheduling external pop-ups and events, overseeing preparation & booking brand ambassadors
- Attending and participating in work events related to the General Manager Role; and
- Working collaboratively with the team for bi-annual fundraising events.
General Requirements
- 5-6 years experience in operational management and project management, preferably in the hospitality industry
- Strong computer skills including (but not limited to) the use of Google Drive, Microsoft Office, and donor management software
- Commitment and sensitivity to neurodivergent people or other underserved populations
Desired Physical Qualifications
- Ability to travel locally
- Some sedentary work involving ability to communicate using the phone and computer
- Ability to lift heavy items, handle repetitive tasks, and stamina for prolonged standing in a fast-paced, hot environment
Desired Mental Qualifications
- Ability to process complex information through spoken language
- Ability to convey ideas through oral communication
- Strong reasoning and analytical skills
- Basic mathematics
- Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills
