General Manager – Numa (Opening Team)
Location: Shrewsbury, NJ

Numa is a modern Mediterranean restaurant inspired by the coastal regions of the Middle East and Southern Europe — where food, flavor, and hospitality are essential parts of life. As we prepare to open our doors, we’re searching for a seasoned and passionate General Manager to join our opening team and help bring the Numa vision to life.

About the Role:

As General Manager, you will be an essential leader in launching and operating Numa. You’ll oversee all day-to-day operations and help shape the guest experience, team culture, and service standards from the ground up. This is a rare opportunity to build something special — not just manage a restaurant, but create a place people want to return to again and again.

Responsibilities:
  • Partner closely with ownership and the Executive Chef to execute the restaurant’s vision

  • Oversee all front-of-house operations, including hiring, training, and scheduling

  • Lead the team with a hands-on approach and foster a culture of warmth, accountability, and excellence

  • Manage service flow and guest experience, ensuring high standards are met at every touchpoint

  • Implement systems and processes that support consistent and efficient operations

  • Monitor financial performance, including labor, inventory, and cost controls

  • Collaborate on marketing, community outreach, and programming initiatives

  • Be a brand ambassador for Numa — on the floor, online, and in the community

Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience as a General Manager or AGM in a full-service, high-volume restaurant

  • Experience with restaurant openings is highly preferred

  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills

  • Deep understanding of hospitality and a commitment to creating memorable guest experiences

  • Knowledge of POS systems, financial reporting, and staff development best practices

  • Calm under pressure, solutions-oriented, and proactive

  • Passion for Mediterranean flavors and culture is a major plus
