POSITION PURPOSE:

Assist the bartenders throughout their shift and ensure that the bar is well-stocked.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO):

• Maintain stock and cleanliness of bar with necessary equipment including bringing clean glasses to the bar and stacking them, ensuring that the bar does not run out of supplies such as straws, garnishments, napkins, ice, variety of alcohol and mixers, such as juices and sodas.
• Clean and mop up any spills, collect dirty glassware and dishes and take them to the kitchen.
• Remove trash from the bar area, take out bags of trash and recyclables, wipe down the bar and bar stools.

SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS:

• Perform any general cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products as assigned by supervisor to adhere to health standards
• Perform other duties as requested, such as cleaning unexpected spills, handling special guest requests, greeting and seating guests and ensuring guest satisfaction
• Attend required meetings

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITY:

• Ability to understand and communicate English to comprehend and respond to basic guest requests
• Ability to understand written English to read any caution or safety notices
• Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry, or otherwise transport up to 50 pounds through a crowded room
• Knowledge of all menus and food items on the menu
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
