Executive Sous Chef
Location: Downtown Brooklyn, NYC (Commercial Kitchen Space)
Compensation: Starting $25/hr; commensurate with experience
We are a rapidly growing meal delivery service based in New York City, currently seeking a skilled and motivated Executive Sous Chef to assist our Chef de Cuisine and Culinary Director in the day-to-day kitchen operations, food preparation, and team coordination. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to grow into a leadership role while contributing to a dynamic and fast-paced kitchen environment.
As a startup, we are building our Opening Team - looking for dedicated self-starters who not only work independently but who take initiative to improve their skillset on a daily basis. You'll have a huge opportunity to grow with the team and company as a whole.
Key Responsibilities:

Support the Chef de Cuisine in overseeing kitchen operations, including inventory management and vendor coordination

Help ensure high standards for food quality, consistency, and kitchen safety, including allergen management

Assist with supervising BOH staff; lead by example in maintaining clean, efficient, and organized workstations
Qualifications:

Prior experience with menu execution and kitchen systems is a plus

Availability Wednesday through Sunday for 8+ hour shifts

Required: 2-4 years of experience in a professional kitchen

Required: 1 year of supervisory or leadership experience

Valid NYC Food Handler's Card required
