Restaurant Manager

Ensure smooth day-to-day operations of the restaurant.

Oversee opening and closing procedures.

Maintain compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards (following Philadelphia health codes).

Manage inventory, food costs, and supplies while minimizing waste.

Coordinate with chefs to ensure authentic Indian cuisine is prepared to high standards.

Ensure guests have an exceptional dining experience.

Handle customer complaints professionally and resolve issues promptly.

Train staff in hospitality and cultural sensitivity for Indian cuisine service.

Engage with customers to gather feedback and improve service.

Recruit, train, and supervise restaurant staff (servers, hosts, kitchen staff).

Schedule shifts and manage payroll.

Foster a positive work environment and resolve employee conflicts.

Conduct performance reviews and provide coaching.

Develop strategies to attract customers (local Philly residents, Indian diaspora, tourists).

Promote special events (e.g., Diwali, Holi celebrations) and seasonal menus.

Collaborate with social media/digital marketing teams to enhance visibility.

Build relationships with local businesses and food influencers.

Monitor budgets, expenses, and profitability.

Analyse sales reports and implement cost-control measures.

Work with the owner to set financial goals and pricing strategies.
