Salary Range: $25.00 - $27.00 (DOE and State)

Gjelina Restaurant in Noho on Bond St. seeks an exceptional, hospitality-driven Maître D’ to lead our front door and guest experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Warmly greet and seat guests while managing waitlists and reservations (via OpenTable).

• Supervise and coordinate hosts during service.

• Ensure clear communication with guests and service staff.

• Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests professionally.

• Support team training and uphold service standards.

• Maintain knowledge of regular guests and menu items.

Ideal Candidate:

• Minimum 2 years of host or front desk experience in a leadership capacity.

• Strong multitasking and organizational skills in a fast-paced setting.

• Calm under pressure, team-oriented, and detail-driven.

• Familiarity with OpenTable and POS systems.

• Excellent verbal communication and guest service instincts.

• Committed to ongoing learning and staff development.

• Available evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Additional Requirements:

• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 35 lbs.

• Completion of alcohol safety and harassment prevention training.

• Knowledge of hospitality best practices and health/safety protocols.
