Tradroom is a neighborhood Japanese restaurant in Brooklyn, known for its warm hospitality, vibrant dining room, and thoughtful food and drink. We’re looking for a reliable, friendly, and detail-oriented individual to join our team in a hybrid Host/Expo role.

This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, team-driven environment and values both front-of-house service and back-of-house communication.

Location: Tradroom – Brooklyn, NY

Key Responsibilities:

As Host:

• Greet and seat guests with warmth and professionalism

• Manage reservations and walk-ins using Resy

• Maintain an organized and welcoming front door presence

• Coordinate with the floor team to ensure smooth table turns

• Answer phone and guest inquiries with grace and accuracy

As Expo:

• Act as liaison between kitchen and front-of-house

• Manage ticket flow to ensure timely and accurate food delivery

• Double-check dishes for accuracy, plating, and dietary needs

• Package and quality-check takeout and delivery orders

• Support the team in high-volume service with efficiency and clarity

Ideal Candidate Qualities:

• Prior experience in hospitality, especially as a host or expo

• Excellent communication and multitasking skills

• Calm under pressure and solutions-oriented

• Punctual, dependable, and team-minded

• Familiarity with Resy and Toast is a plus, but not required

Compensation:
Hourly rate based on experience + tips (where applicable)
