John Fraser Restaurants is looking for an energetic and upbeat Maitre d to join our dynamic team at La Marchande located in the Wall Street Hotel. We are seeking enthusiastic individuals who are passionate about providing exceptional hospitality to our guests. If this is you, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Maintain communication between the reservations, host team, hotel partners, the kitchen and the rest of the dining room.
- Take the lead on planning the seating order to maximize timing and guest satisfaction
- Fully understand tables configuration to optimize seatings at all times
- Identify guests in relations to their needs, regularity, and time of dining, food and drink choice, seat preference etc.
- Recognize all regulars and VIP guests and seek to build brand loyalty
- Review all names in reservations and ensure special occasions (birthday, anniversary, etc.) are acknowledged and the allergies are flagged
- Provide engaged, friendly, and attentive guest service to all guests inclusive of eye contact, respectable conversation and smiling
- Always exude and instill exemplary hospitality standards
- Performs other related activities as assigned by Management
Required skills:
- At least 2 years of Maitre d experience in a fine dining setting, fast paced restaurant
- Displays a pleasant and cheerful disposition
- Able to communicate professionally and effectively with both guests and staff
- Must be a proficient in Open Table as an Admin
- Available to work weekends, and holidays if necessary
- Must be able to stand and or walk for long periods of time without sitting
