Job Summary:
We seek a skilled and passionate Sushi Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have experience in preparing high-quality sushi, sashimi, and other Japanese dishes while maintaining strict food safety and presentation standards. Creativity, precision, and a strong work ethic are essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and assemble sushi, sashimi, nigiri, maki, and other Japanese dishes with precision and artistry.

Ensure all sushi ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and meet quality standards.

Maintain a clean and organized sushi station, following food safety and sanitation regulations.

Interact with customers at the sushi bar, providing recommendations and a welcoming dining experience.

Assist in inventory management, including ordering seafood and supplies as needed.

Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service.

Stay updated on sushi trends and introduce new menu items when appropriate.
Requirements & Skills:

Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or Sushi Apprentice in a restaurant setting.

Knowledge of traditional and modern sushi techniques.

Ability to handle raw fish and other ingredients with care and precision.

Strong knife skills and attention to detail in food presentation.

Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards (ServSafe certification a plus).

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.

Excellent teamwork and communication skills.

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
