Located in the heart of the West Village, our Italian restaurant brings the warmth, flavor, and hospitality of Italy to New York City. We're now looking for a friendly, organized, and welcoming Host/Hostess to join our team.

Job Summary

As the first point of contact for our guests, the Host/Hostess plays a key role in setting the tone for the dining experience. You’ll greet and seat guests, manage reservations, and ensure smooth front-of-house operations.

Responsibilities
  • Warmly welcome guests as they arrive

  • Manage reservation system and waitlist

  • Communicate estimated wait times clearly and courteously

  • Escort guests to their tables and provide menus

  • Coordinate with servers and management to ensure seamless table flow

  • Handle phone inquiries regarding reservations, hours, and general information

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and front area

  • Assist in opening and closing duties as needed

Qualifications
  • Previous experience in hospitality or customer service preferred

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure

  • Professional appearance and demeanor

  • Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays

  • Familiarity with reservation systems (e.g., Resy, OpenTable, Toast ) is a plus

  • Passion for Italian cuisine and culture is a bonus!
