We’re looking for a dedicated and motivated AM Pastry Cook to join our growing pastry team. The ideal candidate is passionate about pastry, reliable, and eager to learn in a fast-paced, professional environment.
Responsibilities:

Assist with daily bread production and pastry prep.

Follow recipes and maintain consistency and quality across all pastry items.

Work closely with the Pastry Sous Chef and pastry team to ensure smooth morning production.

Maintain a clean and organized workstation.

Uphold all food safety and sanitation standards.

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Qualifications:

Previous experience in a professional kitchen preferred, but not required.

Strong work ethic, great attitude, and willingness to learn.

Punctual, dependable, and detail-oriented.

Passionate about pastry and eager to grow within the team.
This is an excellent opportunity to build a foundation in a creative and supportive pastry program.
The role entails producing various pastry items for both Ellie Bird and Rooster and Owl based upon the Executive Pastry Chef’s recipes, standards and expectations.
As a pastry cook at Ellie Bird, you should have a thorough understanding of classic/basic cooking and pastry techniques as well as a basic understanding of how to use all the equipment required to produce your mise en place safely. We are looking for someone who has a drive to learn, performs at their best everyday, works well with others, has a sense of urgency, and communicates effectively and respectfully with their co-workers and managers.
At least 1 year of experience in a professional kitchen is preferred. Must be able to stand for long periods of time.

Compensation Details
Compensation: Hourly ($20.00 - $22.00)
