Job Summary:
The General Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of restaurant operations, ensuring the highest standards of quality, service, and guest satisfaction. This role requires a strong leader with exceptional communication, organizational, and financial management skills. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in managing high-volume, upscale restaurants, preferably with experience in a celebrity-frequented establishment.
Responsibilities:

Overall Operations Management:

Manage day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service.

Oversee all front-of-house (FOH) and back-of-house (BOH) activities.

Maintain a high level of quality in food, beverage, and service.

Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation standards.

Implement and maintain restaurant policies and procedures.

Guest Experience:

Cultivate a welcoming and memorable dining experience for all guests.

Proactively address guest feedback and resolve any issues promptly and professionally.

Maintain relationships with regular guests, including VIPs and celebrities.

Ensure staff provides exceptional customer service and anticipates guest needs.

Team Leadership and Management:

Recruit, hire, train, and supervise all restaurant staff.

Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.

Conduct regular staff meetings and performance evaluations.

Develop and implement training programs to enhance staff skills and knowledge.

Motivate and inspire the team to achieve excellence in service and performance.

Create staff schedules and manage labor costs effectively.

Financial Management:

Develop and manage the restaurant's budget, including revenue and expenses.

Monitor financial performance, analyze data, and implement strategies to improve profitability.

Control inventory, manage costs, and minimize waste.

Oversee payroll, accounts payable, and other financial transactions.

Prepare and present financial reports to ownership.

Marketing and Business Development:

Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract new customers and retain existing ones.

Manage the restaurant's online presence, including social media and website.

Coordinate special events, promotions, and partnerships.

Stay current with industry trends and competitor activities.

Network with industry professionals and build relationships with local businesses.

Vendor Relations:

Manage and maintain relationships with vendors.

Negotiate contracts and pricing.

Ensure timely and accurate delivery of supplies.
Qualifications:

Minimum of 5-7 years of experience as a General Manager in a high-volume, upscale restaurant.

Proven track record of success in managing a celebrity-frequented establishment is highly desirable.

Strong knowledge of Italian cuisine, wine, and service standards.
