Position Overview:
As a Culinary Team Member, you will be an essential part of our kitchen team, working alongside like-minded professionals who take pride in their craft. We are looking for dedicated individuals who are passionate about delivering high-quality dishes with a focus on precision, consistency, and efficiency. You will prepare and execute menu items, maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization, and work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure a smooth and memorable dining experience for our guests.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, cook, and plate dishes according to Izzy's Steaks and Chops’ recipes and standards, ensuring quality and presentation.
- Uphold meticulous standards for cleanliness, organization, and food safety at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a productive, positive, and efficient work environment.
- Handle ingredients thoughtfully, minimizing waste and maximizing quality, while adhering to portion and preparation guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with fellow team members, including chefs, sous chefs, and front-of-house staff.
- Maintain an awareness of station needs, proactively replenishing stock as needed.
- Execute tasks under time constraints while ensuring attention to detail.
Requirements:
- 1+ years of fine dining experience preferred, but not required.
- Passion for culinary excellence and a desire to contribute to a collaborative kitchen environment.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and a commitment to improving one’s craft.
- Ability to take constructive feedback and make adjustments to enhance performance.
- Flexibility with working hours, including nights and weekends.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for extended working hours.
