Bar Contra, a new (ish) concept from acclaimed chefs, Jeremiah Stone, Fabián von Hauske and Dave Arnold, is looking to add a strong hospitality professional to its already great team. We are hoping to find a career oriented leader with strong bartender and server experience to work in tandem with the director of operations and partners to ensure the highest levels of service, product and ambiance. This is a 5 day a week tipped and hourly paid position. Shifts on the floor, behind the bar, prep and admin will be required.
All members of our team are part of all conversations involving the management of Bar Contra and play an integral role in shaping the future of what we hope Bar Contra can become. Ideally we are hoping to find an ambitious hospitality professional that hopes to grow to be a leader of a team with the highest of standards.
We work with an attitude of radical teamwork, all guests are your guests and job roles are fluid. This is in no way a “not my job” venue and our first thought in all situations is always, how can I be a better teammate? We are hoping to build a team of pros that truly believes in that vision and wants to be a part of something special.
For this position strong experience is necessary and ideally an entry level knowledge of some of Dave’s techniques as laid out in his book, Liquid Intelligence would be very helpful.
