Line Cook – Downtown Brooklyn, NYC
Location: Downtown Brooklyn (Commercial Kitchen Space)
Compensation: $20/hour
We are a fast-paced, NYC-based meal delivery service currently seeking a dependable and proactive Line Cook to support our Executive Sous with kitchen operations, food prep, and inventory management. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong leadership skills and a passion for food to thrive in a collaborative and energetic kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate independently throughout production shifts, managing tasks with minimal oversight
- Execute and uphold food quality and safety standards, including inventory control
- Support back-of-house (BOH) operations, including food preparation and inventory management
- Effectively manage your station and proactively complete daily kitchen tasks
- Maintain a clean, efficient, and safe kitchen environment, leading with kindness and consideration
- Collaborate closely with the front-of-house (FOH) team to ensure smooth and timely pack-out
Requirements:
- Available Thursday through Sunday for shifts of 8+ hours
- Strong communication skills, punctuality, and a professional, team-oriented attitude
- Valid NYC Food Handler’s Card required
