We're hiring 2-3 lively people to scoop our house made ice cream at our newly opened concept in Williamsburg.
Prior experience scooping and/or ice cream counter is preferred!
We will be starting service in late May

The Role:
An Ice Cream Scooper’s job involves scooping and serving customers our house-made ice cream, maintaining the cleanliness and operating the point of sale system, all while providing friendly and efficient service.
The Responsibilities:
- Customer service first-- greet customers, take orders and process payment while providing excellent customer service
- Scoop ice cream and prepare it for serving
- Maintain inventory: Ensure adequate stock of flavors, toppings, and other supplies
- Follow food safety guidelines-- practice proper food handling and sanitation procedures.
- Maintenance including cleaning, organizing and restocking all necessary supplies
- Operate POS system (Toast) accurately for transactions.
- Take inventory of napkins, cups, spoons, taster spoons, etc.
Requirements:
- Proficient in mathematical skills and quick payment handling, preferably familiar with Toast POS system
- Excellent energy and communication skills
- Basic understanding of food handling and sanitation requirements of the New York State Department of Health
- Must be able to remain in a standing, stationary position more than 75% of the time
- Must be able to move about inside the café space
- Must be able to work in a fast paced environment
- Frequently moves food service inventory and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to work a variable schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Able to stand, bend and reach for prolonged periods of time
- Food handlers certificate a plus
