Server Assistant

Jupiter is looking for experienced and passionate people to join our team! 

Note: This is a full-time position. Preference is given to candidates with open availability.

Jupiter, a second restaurant from the team behind King, celebrates the generous simplicity of regional Italian food and drink in New York’s iconic Rockefeller Center. Located at the North Side of the rink, the restaurant has become essential part of Midtown’s new “town square” with its focused menu of antipasti and pasta, aperitivo and wines, and King’s signature warm hospitality.

What you’ll do: 

• As a server assistant or runner, you’ll assist the server in maintaining the section by replenishing water carafes, clearing, and  marking when necessary.
• Bussing empty tables and resetting.
• Restock service stations throughout service with BTG wine and water glasses, napkins, side plates, silverware.
• Run clean glassware from the polishing station to the bar.
• Remain in communication with servers so everyone is aware of guest needs. 
• Monitor the drinks pass and barista stations to efficiently deliver cocktails, wines by the glass, and coffee as they are made.
• Carefully monitor tables to provide side plates, replacement silverware and glasses, etc. as needed.
• Communicate any additional orders to servers.

Who you are: 

• You are passionate about the hospitality industry and thrive in fast-paced environments 
• You have 1+ years of experience as a server assistant or runner in a fine-dining restaurant
• You are a team player with clear communication and follow through 
• You have attention to detail and initiative to problem solve as needed 
• You are able to stand, walk, and be on your feet for extended periods of time 
• You are able to communicate in English, through written and verbal communications  
• You are able to lift 30+ pounds 
• You are available on nights, weekends and holidays, as needed
