Job Title: Shift Leader- FOH/BOH

Salary Range: $22-$33

Department: Operations

Reports To: General Manager & Assistant General Manager

Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Shift leader to oversee both Front of House and Back of House operations during assigned shifts at Stretch Pizza Domino. The Shift Leader will play a key role in ensuring efficient operations, maintaining high standards of customer service, food quality, and fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. This role requires a hands-on approach, strong leadership skills, the ability to effectively manage staff and resolve issues in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Shift Leader:
    • Supervise and coordinate FOH and BOH staff activities during assigned shifts.
    • Ensure smooth and efficient operations throughout the shift, maintaining optimal workflow.
    • Monitor staff performance and provide coaching, feedback, and support as needed.
    • Delegate tasks effectively and ensure all duties are completed to standard.
    • Address any operational issues, customer complaints, or staff conflicts promptly and professionally.
    • Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and standards.
    • Conduct pre-shift meetings to communicate shift goals, specials, and important information to staff.
    • Prepare shift reports, documenting any incidents, customer feedback, or operational issues.
  • Front of House (FOH) Supervision:
    • Oversee FOH staff, including cashiers, Expo
    • Ensure that exceptional customer service is always provided.
    • Monitor customer flow and seating arrangements to maximize efficiency and guest satisfaction.
    • Address customer concerns and resolve any service-related issues.
    • Ensure the cleanliness and presentation of the dining area, including tables, chairs, and floors.
    • Ensure staff adherence to dress code and hygiene standards.
  • Back of House (BOH) Supervision:
    • Supervise BOH staff, including pizza cooks, kitchen staff, and dishwashers.
    • Ensure food is prepared according to recipes and quality standards.
    • Monitor food preparation times and ensure timely delivery of orders.
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment.
    • Ensure proper food handling, storage, and preparation techniques are followed.
    • Monitor and control food costs, minimizing waste and maximizing efficiency.
    • Ensure the proper functioning and maintenance of all kitchen equipment.
    • Enforce health and safety regulations, including proper use of equipment and PPE.
  • Staff Leadership and Development:
    • Motivate and inspire staff to achieve high levels of performance.
    • Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for staff.
    • Foster a positive, collaborative, and team-oriented work environment.
    • Communicate effectively with staff, providing clear direction and feedback.
    • Recognize and reward staff for outstanding performance.

Qualifications:

  • NYC Food Handler ID
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in hospitality management is a plus.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a supervisory role in a restaurant environment, preferably a pizza establishment.
  • Strong knowledge of both FOH and BOH operations.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Ability to handle cash and process transactions accurately.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a passion for the restaurant industry.

Compensation Details

Compensation: Hourly ($22.00 - $33.00)
