Job Title: Pastry Line Cook
Location: Bright-eyed Bakery
Employment Type: Full-time (40 hours per week)
Compensation: $22 - $25 per hour (based on experience)

Reporting to: Production Chef

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Pastry Proficient Line Cook to join our culinary team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in pastry and dessert preparation, along with line cooking experience. The successful candidate will contribute to menu development, maintain high food quality standards, and work collaboratively in a fast-paced kitchen environment, with a strong focus on soft serve and regular ice cream production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and execute pastry items, desserts, and baked goods according to established recipes and presentation standards.
  • Oversee soft serve and regular ice cream production, ensuring consistency in quality and flavor.
  • Assist in the preparation and plating of a variety of dishes, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner items as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workstation, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering and stocking supplies as needed.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to refine and innovate menu items.
  • Maintain consistency in taste, texture, and presentation of all dishes.
  • Assist in training and mentoring junior kitchen staff.
  • Adhere to portion control and waste management practices to minimize food costs.
  • Work closely with the culinary leadership team to maintain a positive and productive work environment.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a line cook with a focus on pastry preparation.

Compensation Details

Compensation: Hourly ($22.00 - $25.00)
