Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Pastry Proficient Line Cook to join our culinary team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in pastry and dessert preparation, along with line cooking experience. The successful candidate will contribute to menu development, maintain high food quality standards, and work collaboratively in a fast-paced kitchen environment, with a strong focus on soft serve and regular ice cream production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and execute pastry items, desserts, and baked goods according to established recipes and presentation standards.
- Oversee soft serve and regular ice cream production, ensuring consistency in quality and flavor.
- Assist in the preparation and plating of a variety of dishes, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner items as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workstation, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering and stocking supplies as needed.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to refine and innovate menu items.
- Maintain consistency in taste, texture, and presentation of all dishes.
- Assist in training and mentoring junior kitchen staff.
- Adhere to portion control and waste management practices to minimize food costs.
- Work closely with the culinary leadership team to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a line cook with a focus on pastry preparation.
