Sabai Thai seeks an exceptional Maître d’ to act as the face of our dining experience, ensuring every guest enjoys impeccable service and a welcoming atmosphere. This role oversees reservations, guest interactions, and the seamless operation of the dining area while maintaining our commitment to exceptional hospitality.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first and last point of contact for guests, creating a lasting impression.
• Receive and coordinate reservations, ensuring accurate table assignments.
• Welcome and greet guests at the entrance according to company standards, escorting them to their assigned tables or seating areas.
• Maintain a pleasant and welcoming environment for guests, ensuring an exceptional dining experience.
• Thank and appreciate guests with genuine warmth as they leave.
• Gather feedback from guests to ensure satisfaction with food and service, addressing inquiries or complaints professionally.
• Anticipate and address guest needs, ensuring a personalized and satisfying experience.
• Communicate clearly, professionally, and respectfully with guests, patrons, and staff at all times.
• Act as a bridge between the kitchen and servers to ensure smooth operations and alignment of goals.
• Oversee all dining room activities, ensuring a high standard of service and ambiance.
• Collaborate with management to implement initiatives to enhance the overall dining experience.
• Train and mentor staff on best practices for guest service and hospitality.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in upscale dining establishments.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A welcoming demeanor and a commitment to exceptional service.
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a calm and professional attitude.
• Knowledge of reservation and guest management systems is an advantage. Sevenrooms preferred.

Compensation

• Range : $22 to $26 per hour
• Additional benefits available for the right candidate.
